It is incredible to see as to how many roles a single human being can play at some or other time of her life. Perhaps it comes natural to Sarah Palin. We now know that Palin is the first politician from Alaska to run on a general election for president or vice president. In addition know that Sarah was the youngest person, and the first woman, to be voted governor of Alaska.

Sarah Palin has been an athlete and player right from her early days. You will be amazed to learn that Sarah and her father would sometimes wake up at 3 a.m. to hunt moose before school, and the family frequently ran 3 miles and 7 miles races.

At Wasilla High School in Alaska, Sarah Palin was the head of the school Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was the point guard and team leader for the basketball team as well.

Palin even participated in Miss Alaska beauty pageant, where she was the runner up but could still get the scholarship enough for her advanced studies. She finished her bachelor’s in journalism and worked as a sports reporter for some time. She even worked as a fisherman with her husband Todd Palin who is into this industry.

Sarah Palin has five kids -Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig Paxson Van Palin. Her eldest son Track Palin serves in an infantry unit and will be deployed to Iraq on September 11, 2008. Her youngest child Trig Paxson Van Palin was born few months on April 18, 2008 and has a disorder called Down syndrome. The shocking part is that she returned to the job just three days after giving birth!

When a journalist and photographers from Vogue magazine came to Alaska in December to do a chronicle on her, Sarah Palin was sure she dissatisfied them. “In the interview you could tell that the journalist was trying to get me to focus on the sex and appearance topics, but I kept talking about energy and national safety, and not relying on foreign sources of energy,” she said.

Sarah Palin is unusual and maybe special. She hunts, eats moose hamburger, ice fishes, rides snowmobiles, and owns a float aircraft. Sarah Palin holds a lifetime membership with the National Rifle Association. She even smoked marijuana when it was legal in Alaska. And as Geraldine Ferraro says, this may do it for John McCain!
