American Gladiators Girls

Are you ready for some more American Gladiators? The NBC revival of the brutal reality competition show will premiere its second season on Monday, May 12 at 8pm with a two hour premiere. After that, American Gladiators will settle into its Monday 8pm time slot with 90-minute episodes. Gladiators averaged around 10 million viewers per episode in its first season, making it NBC’s most successful new show of the 2007-2008 television season. Gladiators will be one of six reality shows to grace NBC’s summer schedule.

Finally NBC has published pictures of some of the new American Gladiators for Season 2. So far the released new female gladiator pictures are for Monica Carlson (Jet) and Jennifer Widerstrom (Phoenix) and Gina Carano (Crush).

Monica Carlson is a 32-year-old mother of 8-year-old twins and a former Portland Trailblazer dancer. Growing up “American Gladiators” was her favorite show. Her husband is a football coach and athletics plays a large part in the family. One of 11 kids growing up, Monica is in great shape and loves competition. She currently lives in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Gina Carano was born on April 16, 1982 in Texas. Her father Glenn Carano played for the Dallas Cowboys as a backup quarterback from 1977-1983. Gina Carano is an American Mixed Martial Arts fighter and loves Thai Boxing. She is a former psychology student and received an offer to participate in the first female sanctioned MMA fight in Nevada. She was invited at the World Pro Fighting show in Las Vegas to fight Rosy Sexton from the UK after her outstanding Muay Thai record of 12-1-1.
